January '09 Inspirations
We've really been having fun
with our new patterns from
"Favorite Things."

Carol has made up the 
"Little Prairie Dress" in two
prints from our wonderful
Amy Butler fabric.
We were a little concerned
that the print might be
too big --- but don't you
love the effect!

 
   

 

 

A coordinating print was used for the tiny
ruffles at the sleeveline and for the dickey.

Since the dress pulls over the head, we have chosen
to snap the dickey in place rather than to stitch it.

 

  

What appears to be a
band of trim at the hemline
is actually an underskirt
that is caught in at the
bodice seam in the front
and lines the back
of the dress.

The tiny sash at the
back waistline adds just
the right accent.
